Reinstatement Cost Assessment of a 20,600 sqft industrial unit located within Battlefield Enterprise Park, Shrewsbury on behalf of the Landlord. The client required a certified valuation of the cost to rebuild the property for their insurance policy.
Challenges
- Short timescale for reporting to meet policy renewal deadlines.
- Building floor area measurements were not available.
Solution
The reinstatement cost assessment required accurate calculation of the floor areas, including two storey office parts of the property within the industrial unit, therefore, a detailed inspection was carried out. The assessment incorporated several differing cost rates for the various parts of the building to create the accurate cost to rebuild the property.
The report was completed within the deadlines for the insurance policy renewal.
